Yang Had No Good Options
People acting like Yang is/was dumb for charging Adam in V3 piss me off.
For one, she’s had an incredibly shitty 24 hours, being framed, blamed, made to question her sanity, found out her uncle has been lying to her for years and now her home is on fire and she’s been fighting for awhile.
So already she’s gonna be on a knife’s edge.
But following that, the idea she or anyone could just go and “be calm” when someone they love is being gutted right in front of them, especially given all of the above is just asinine.
But more than that, Yang’s Semblance and fighting style do not lend themselves well to this scenario!
If she tries to go around she’s not that fast, so Adam can either shoot or stab Blake again before she gets there.
If she uses Earth wave, Blake gets launched into the fire or a Grimm.
If she used her guns, Blake will likely get hit.
She was exhausted, stressed beyond belief, just saw something nightmarish that would leave anyone with a fucking heart enraged and totally bereft of good options that didn’t risk Blake’s life more.
I hate that Yang’s desperate attempt to save someone she loved is treated like an act of arrogance and idiocy by people in the fandom & certain characters in universe.
